Getting Started

If you are visiting this site for the first time, please follow the steps below before attending a session or playing a recording.

Step One: Minimum System Requirements

Before you can get started in a NorQuest College Elluminate Live! online session, you must ensure that your computer is able to support the needs of the collaboration environment.

IAll clients require:

• 256 MB RAM
• 20 MB free disk space
• Soundcard with speakers and microphone or headset
• 28.8 Kbps Internet connection
• Java Web Start utility

Windows Client

• Windows 2000/XP/Vista
• Pentium III 500 MHz processor

Mac Client

• Mac OS X 10.4 and 10.5
• G3, G4, G5 or Intel Processor
• Common PC microphones do not work in a Mac microphone jack, so Mac users should use USB microphones.

For a better audio signal, we recommend using an external microphone and external speakers.

Step Two (a): Download Java Web Start

In order to attend or watch a recording using Elluminate Live!, click here and follow Step 1 on the Web page to download the Java Web Start utility.

That's it! You're ready to start attending live sessions and playing recorded sessions.
